Just a bit over a month ago I was honoured to document the wedding of Mick and Cassie under the magic of the St Andrew’s sky.
There was a lot of anticipation in the lead up to this wedding, the Bride and Groom being well liked, well known and natural magnets to the people who surround them every day and in the community they were both raised. This was going to be a huge celebration, a wedding party like no other and it didn’t disappoint. When I phoned Cassie two days later they had only finished partying. So, it was only natural that the photos I would take on the day will be documenting overwhelming emotions, missing loved ones when they should have been there on a special day, but the orbs were everywhere surrounding a very loved couple. There was incredibly strong connections to the past who are obvious influences, the wedding car owned by a dear family friend, hands down being THE BEST wedding car I’ve ever seen, being a hundred years old I think. So many beautiful and touching elements throughout, during the ceremony was wonderfully unique when the Bride’s closest circle of women offered her a flower to add to her bouquet, at the party sounds of the didgeridoo and the custom made bar entertained guests. When we went out on location two locals serenaded the couple at sunset. The first dance was the Bride and Groom’s rendition of Pulp Fictions famous dance off ‘You Never Can Tell’ by Chuck Berry. It was truly splendid.
Thank you Mick and Cassie for giving me the opportunity to photograph your wedding day. Here are just a snippet of my favourites taken on the day. xx
